This website is run by Richard Giometti & Nancy Giometti Tomz. We keep this policy short and plain, because we collect very little.
What we collect
- Newsletter sign-ups. Your email address, an optional name, the page you signed up from, and the date. That is all.
- Contact form. Your name, email address, subject and message, plus your IP address and browser string, which we store to help block spam.
- Server logs. Our hosting provider keeps standard access logs (IP address, page requested, timestamp) for security and troubleshooting.
How we use it
We use your email address only to send you news about new and upcoming books. We use contact form details only to reply to you. We do not sell, rent or share your information with anyone for marketing purposes.
Cookies
This site sets one essential session cookie, which keeps forms secure against cross-site request forgery. It contains no personal information and expires when you close your browser. We do not use advertising cookies or cross-site trackers.
Third parties
Purchase links on this site lead to Amazon and other retailers. Once you follow one of those links, that retailer’s own privacy policy applies — we have no control over it and receive none of your purchase data. If we ever join an affiliate programme, purchase links may earn us a small commission at no extra cost to you.
Your choices
Every email we send includes a one-click unsubscribe link. You may also ask us to delete your details entirely at any time — just send us a message and we will remove them.
Children
Our books are written for children, but this website is intended for adults. We do not knowingly collect information from anyone under 13. If you believe a child has given us their details, please contact us and we will delete them.
Security
The site runs over HTTPS, form submissions are validated on the server, and our database is accessed only through prepared statements. No system is perfect, but we take reasonable steps to protect what little we hold.
Changes
If this policy changes, we will update the date at the top of this page.
